Dr. Mama Esq. is a new-ish blog that grew out of an older blog, Gradmommy. Gradmommy was about my experiences as a, well, graduate school mother. Now that I am no longer in graduate school, Dr. Mama Esq. chronicles my post-graduate school journey as a mom, wife, professional, lawyer and scholar.

CocoaMamas began as a group blog featuring women of color writing about raising children of color in a world that is hostile to their very existence. While it ceased being a group blog a few years back, I occasionally post more “political” pieces that speak to raising black and brown children or motherhood.
